Hey, this is Cheryl here! I'm watching Moulin Rouge as I type this, haha.

Right, so if you would kindly turn to page 19 of your blue file, you would find the questions I'm supposed to blog about.

1)Say what?

The way the Australians speak is quite understandable. But I find myself scanning the words that coming out of my mouth for swearwords, Singlish and potential offensive material. Somtetimes they don't understand what I'm saying, so I've to repeat myself. But I'm sure that's quite normal because I get that quite often from people back home as well.

The simplest way to get my message across is to: (a) speak clearly (b) play charades.

2)My grandfather's road!

Aborigines enjoy special privileges in the areas of educaton, transport and... other stuff. The reason why? It's a little bit like compensation, because they have suffered a great deal under the white man's rule, for example, the stolen generation, the culture lost, etc. Some Australians, sadly, resent the priviledges that Aborigines receive. But I'm sure that that's only a small percentage of the population. :]

The Singaporean government has basically employed a policy of multi-racialism and multi-culturalism. Yeah. Aiyah, I can't really think of anything here.

That's all, I guess. Ice cream!

we had a smashing good day, 5:26 PM.
